Neoagaro-oligosaccharides Improve the Postharvest Flower Quality and Vase Life of Cut Rose ‘Gaoyuanhong’

چکیده
Rose is among the most important cut flower crops worldwide. The vase life an indicator of rose quality. composition solution directly affects life. Neoagaro-oligosaccharides (NAOS) are degraded seaweed-derived polysaccharides that constitute a group compounds with small molecular weight and good water solubility. Oligosaccharide treatment can extend postharvest longevity certain types flowers; however, little information available on utility NAOS for preservation flowers. To explore effects quality flowers ‘Gaoyuanhong’, 100 mg·L −1 alone in combination 10 g·L sucrose were incorporated solution. Distilled was used as control. Physiological indicators, comprising maximum diameter, fresh weight, balance, life, bacteria number solution, hormone contents outer petals, determined analyzed. Compared control, increased diameter (mean 8.21 cm), induced rates change maintained best significantly extended to 16 days, reduced abscisic acid content petals control treatments lower than other day 9. results showed useful improve flowers, might contribute development novel alternative preservatives industry.

Effect of Nitric Oxide on Postharvest Quality and Vase Life of Cut Carnation Flower
Nitric oxide (NO) is a highly reactive signaling molecule and plays a variety of physiological roles in plants. The research on the application of NO to postharvest preservation of flowers and fruits shows great promise in recent years. However, the physiological mechanism of exogenous NO to affect cut flowers is not very clear, and NO donor treatment protected plants from damage by increasing ...

Chrysanthemum cut flower is not sensitive to ethylene and its vase life depends on vascular blockage. In order to evaluating of effect of antibiotics and essential oils on the vase life and quality characteristics of chrysanthemum cut flower an experiment carried out based on a RCD with 10 treatments: Artemisia at 3 levels (10, 30 and 50 %), amoxicillin at 3 levels (100, 200 and 300 mg l-1), Ri...

متن کاملmaintainance of quality and extending the vase life of cut rose flower ‘grand prix’ through modified atmospheric packaging
respiration is one of the important factors to be considered in a determination of the quality of cut flowers during their postharvest preservation period. modified atmospheric packaging (map) is an effective way of reducing respiration rate along with increasing vase life while the quality of cut flowers also well maintained. this research was conducted on the basis of a factorial experiment, ...
